The firm, which specializes in peripheral, has announced the third generation of the Razer Blade gaming laptop, improving the model with a 14-inch screen and a new GPU.
Advertised as "slimmest and powerful gaming laptop of the world", this 14-inch Razer Blade 3 now offers one of the best screens there are: a Sharp IGZO panel with a native resolution of 3200 x 1800, which raises the density to 262 ppi. Also, Razer has added multi-touch support with ten simultaneous touch points.
The company has updated the graphics to a dedicated NVIDIA GeForce GTX 870M with 3 GB of GDDR5 VRAM, one of the intermediate models of the new NVIDIA GTX 800M series.
It features a Haswell Intel Core i7-4702HQ with four cores and eight threads of native processing with an integrated Intel HD 4600 GPU that can be used in less intensive tasks to save battery thanks to the NVIDIA Optimus technology.
This is completed with 8 GB of DDR3 RAM and a SSD of 128 GB, both components are expandable. Its battery is 70 Wh and according to the firm offers up to 6 hours of battery life. 2 MP Webcam, Wi-Fi , Bluetooth, three USB 3.0 ports, HDMI 1.4a, Dolby Digital Audio System and backlit keyboard with programmable keys complete this laptop, which will cost 2199 USD.
Razer has also updated the 17-inch model keeping the Full HD resolution, Intel Core i7-4700HQ processor, 16GB of RAM, up to 512GB SSD and GeForce GTX 860M (2GB GDDR5). It costs 2299 USD.
